Fellowships in Uveitis, Neuroophthalmology and Medical Ophthalmology at Oxford Eye Hospital

We offer comprehensive fellowships in uveitis , neuroophthalmology and medical ophthalmology . Our fellowships would suit a trained ophthalmologist interested in pursuing a clinical or clinical-academic career in one or a combination of these specialties.

Oxford Eye Hospital fellowships attract UK and international Ophthalmologists who who wish to complete their clinical training in uveitis, neuroophthalmlology or both specialties. Beyond clinical training, our fellowships offer opportunities in quality / service development , leadership , education, innovation and research at an internationally recognised hospital.

Uveitis The Oxford Eye Hospital is home to a regional referral centre for children and adults with uveitis. We run a dedicated juvenile idiopathic arthritis ophthalmology clinic alongside paediatric rheumatologists and other specialities in a unique multidisciplinary setting.

Neurophthalmology The Oxford Eye Hospital provides a tertiary neurophthalmology service in partnership with the neurology, neurosurgery and neuroradiology departments at Oxford. Oxford Eye Hospital is also a national ophthalmic centre for the rare disorders, neuromyelitis optica and neurofibromatosis 2.

Medical Ophthalmology A medical ophthalmology fellowship is a modular specialist training programme in Uveitis , Neurophthalmology and Medical Retina. This fellowship would be ideal for but not restricted to graduates of a UK Medical Ophthalmology training program. Our fellows select the components in which they are most interested to train.

Multidisciplinary Experience

All fellowship trainees  can spend time in other  specialities  eg rheumatology or neurology to help round their education in their chosen subspecialty
